Shrewsbury Cable's Home Wiring Policy
| Whole House Service |
|
This policy is established to set goals and guidelines for the
delivery of "whole house" cable television services to
Shrewsbury Cable customers.
Whole-house service maximizes the availability of cable television
programming by allowing customers who have subscribed to either
basic or expanded basic service to receive the same programming
on up to a total of four cable-ready televisions set without an
extra charge. The basic and expanded rates include one converter.
Customers who subscribe to premium services like HBO or Showtime
will require the converter box to view these channels and also to
use the Pay-Per-View service. Additional converters remain available
for a monthly fee.
The "Whole-house" service concept was made possible by
the upgrade of the cable system. Whole-house applies best to customers
with secondary television sets (bedrooms, playrooms) who, previous
to the upgrade, were required to pay additional outlet/converter
charges in order to receive the expanded basic
lineup whether or not they wanted to receive premium/pay-per-view
programming.

Whole-House Connections - In House Wiring
Shrewsbury Cable Installation
Shrewsbury Cable allows customers to install in-house wiring. Shrewsbury
Cable has a legal obligation under FCC regulations to keep signals

cause increased signal leakage. Customer may be charged for service
calls that have to be made due to improper wiring installed by customers.

| Costs |
| Standard installation charges including labor and
materials apply if Shrewsbury Cable does work. If extensive wiring work is needed,
Shrewsbury Cable will inform the customer that an electrician must do a "custom
installation" for the wiring before Shrewsbury Cable can follow up and do
the final install work. |
| |
| Maximum Whole-House Connections |
| No more than four (4) television sets can be connected
to cable services in any one dwelling due to the potential for jeopardizing
signal quality. Special engineering and electronics are available
if more sets are a necessity. |
| |
| Service Call Charges |
| Included as part of the basic and expanded rates,
Shrewsbury Cable provides service for the in-house wiring installed by Shrewsbury Cable. In
the event that Shrewsbury Cable is called to service a problem at a customer's
house and it is determined that the problem is the result of wiring
or connection of a VCR or television done by the customer, the customer
will be charged for the service call. Service call rates are on file
at Shrewsbury Cable. |
