Advertise your local business on Shrewbury Cable's Channel 26. All ads appear on the screen for 12 seconds and will be displayed once during each rotation. Shrewsbury Cable will work with a slide you have created, we can scan images and logos from hard copy, or retrieve images and logos from the Internet.

PURPOSE

Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations (SELCO), as required by the Franchise Agreement, has a character generator community bulletin board channel available for use by civic, Town, school, social, patriotic, religious, and non-profit groups to promote events, activities and meeting notices of community interest.

REQUIREMENTS

1. The event, activity or meeting being promoted must be for a non-profit, tax exempt organization as defined by the Internal Revenue Code 501 (c). SELCO reserves the right to request written verification of the tax exempt status.The event, activity of meeting being promoted must be based in Shrewsbury or be of substantial benefit to the residents of Shrewsbury.
   
   
2. Any municipal department, agency, committee or commission can use the Community Bulletin Board for the purpose of announcing meetings, agendas, or regulations. The request must be made by or with the approval of the chairman, clerk, or department head of such governmental body.
   
   
3. All messages should be received in writing at a minimum of 48 hours prior to the requested run date of the message. All messages should be sent to SELCO Bulletin Board, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts 01545. Request for messages should include the requested starting date and signed by the responsible agent of the group or organization.
   
   
4. Messages will be run on a first come, first serve basis. SELCO will use its best effort to provide equal time for all appropriate messages submitted.
   
   
5. Messages will run for no more than two (2) weeks.
   
   
6. SELCO reserves the right to use the message channel for its own use for the purpose of advertising for special events, promotions, or any other matters relating to the operation of SELCO.
   
   
7. Messages must be non-commercial in nature and focus on the date, time of the event, activity or meeting rather than organizational goals or philosophy.
   
   
8. The General Manager reserves the right to modify, alter or reject the request for any message based upon failure to comply with this policy.
   
   
9. Any messages relating to specific candidates for public office, referendum questions or Town Meeting warrant articles are explicitly prohibited.
   
   
10. SELCO is not liable for any errors, omissions or misrepresentations relating to any material that may appear on the message channel.
    
    
11. SELCO will use its best efforts to accommodate special requests for color, type size and background special effects but do not guarantee all requests will be met.
